The role of Publicity Assistant will involve a host of responsibilities. The candidate will support the Directors and Publicists across all aspects of their campaigns and general needs with music, entertainment and event PR. The Publicity Assistant will be expected to provide office administrative support. The role will help with development towards progressing to the role of a Junior Publicist.
This is a full time role of five days per week. Subject to government guidance, you would be expected to work in the London office three days per week with two days working from home or on location.
Under the terms of the Kickstart Scheme, applicants must be aged 16-24 years old and claiming Universal Credit.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
· generating daily coverage updates
· writing press releases and compiling press packs
· generating weekly reports
· collating and posting coverage across company socials
· assisting with servicing contacts with images and information
· assisting with promo schedules and covering promo
· updating and emailing the release schedule weekly
· maintaining and updating databases
· general office admin
· connecting phone interviews
· attending gigs
· assisting with guest lists and photo pass request lists
· collecting mail and meeting deliveries
· managing physical and digital mailouts
· keeping magazine racks up to date and tidy
· to assist with the recruitment and managing of Interns
taking further responsibility on some campaigns, to include:
· identifying and pitching to media targets
· arranging interviews
· pitching and confirming album and tour reviews
· Strong communication skills, especially with the written word
· Good attention to detail
· Strong organisational skills
· A genuine interest in music, entertainment and media
Additional Employability Support:
You will be provided with a clear plan on your initial sixth month period for development within our company. Starting with basic understanding of how music publicity works, the structure of the industry and the fundamentals of working as a publicist. You will shadow a senior member of the team on at least one key campaign to gain an in-depth insight into the daily interactions with clients, managers, record labels and artists etc. You will receive the full support of the team to educate you in general communication.
In addition to the above we will be working closely with our business consultant to formulate a structured development plan. They will assist in implementing this and will also engage in at least three one on one sessions with yourself.
Working Pattern and Hours:
Five days per week
10:00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m and evenings, weekends as required
Initial Contracted Period:
Six months from start of employment
London living wage equivalent to £11.05 p/h
