Yves Jarvis won 2025 Polaris Music Prize

03 Oct 2025

Montreal singer-songwriter-producer Yves Jarvis has won the 2025 Polaris Music Prize for his album All Cylinders.

All Cylinders is his fifth album and first for In Real Life. Jarvis had been previously longlisted for the prize twice: The Same But by Different Means made the long list in 2019, and his album Sundry Rock Song Stock was longlisted in 2021.

The Polaris Music Prize is a Canadian charitable arts organisation that honours and rewards the most artistically significant album and song of the year, regardless of genre, sales, or popularity. Each year, a jury of over 200 music critics made up of writers, broadcasters, bloggers, curators, and programmers from across the country selects the 40-album long list, 10-album short list, and one Polaris Prize winner, based on artistic merit alone.

Previous winners include Caribou, Arcade Fire, Feist and Kaytranada.
