OVERVIEW

The primary objective was to ensure Lady Gaga’s MAYHEM was recognised as one of the defining albums of 2025, reinforcing Gaga as a dominant force in contemporary music, and delivering a No.1 album in the UK. It was equally important to highlight a sustained narrative that connected her new music, acclaimed live performances and cultural influence throughout the year.

MAYHEM debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart, marking her sixth solo chart-topper in the UK. It achieved one of the fastest opening week sales of 2025, outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined, and was Lady Gaga’s biggest opening since 2013. The critical acclaim culminated in MAYHEM and its singles landed on almost all media’s end of year appraisals and best of 2025 lists, including high placings on album of the year lists in the Guardian, Standard, Times, NME, Time Out, Vogue and many more.

STRATEGY

We maximised limited access by securing major UK features, including a BBC multimedia takeover and a Sunday Times Culture cover. The BBC interview generated coverage across TV, radio, digital and iPlayer, culminating in a dedicated Lady Gaga Night on BBC Two.

We secured strong UK reviews that shaped global perception of the album, coverage of live performances at Coachella, Rio and beyond reinforced Gaga’s return, generating widespread five-star reviews. Finally, we secured syndication of Rolling Stone US’s cover feature in the UK edition, extending the album’s visibility through year-end.
